Pat Hall began playing trombone at the age of nine in his home state of Michigan and studied with Ava Ordman, Principal Trombonist of the Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra. After attending Western Michigan University, majoring in Jazz Studies, he moved to New York City in 1985.
A veteran of New York's Latin music scene, Pat has performed with Raulin Rosendo, Ismael Miranda, Hector Tricoche, Adalberto Santiago, Andy Montañez, Willie Gonzales, Nino Segarra, Luisito Carrion, Paquito Guzman, Lalo Rodriguez, Maelo Ruiz, Tito Nieves and Ray Barretto among many others.
He’s performed with jazz artists David Murray, Wadada Leo Smith, Jorge Sylvester, Ze Luis, Gregorio Uribe, Lionel Hampton, and many of New York’s great Big Bands and Jazz Orchestras.
